Membership Benefits

SCAPP is Scotland’s Community of Access and Participation Practitioners.

SCAPP is a membership organisation, supporting the professionalisation of Widening Access and Widening Participation work. SCAPP offers paid, and nonpaid membership. Please see the member benefits outlined below.

All members (paid and nonpaid) are invited to join our SCAPP Mailing List to stay up to date with news, events, research, resources and opportunities across the sector. Sign up to the SCAPP Mailing List here.

Paid Membership

SCAPP now offers paid, organisational and institutional memberships through an annual subscription. You can see our Paid Members listed here.

Individuals who are part of organisations or institutions with paid SCAPP membership, are eligible for additional benefits.

Paid membership gives access to:

  • A monthly email bulletin of sector-wide news, events, jobs, publications and opportunities
  • Networking and best practice events, such as monthly Connect with Coffee meetings
  • Discounted attendance to SCAPP events (up to 30% off paid events and conferences)
  • Members-only online access to event recordings and learning resources
  • Support and information networks for professionals in widening access and participation work including Articulation, Learning and Development, Evaluation and Refugees and People seeking Asylum
  • Professional development opportunities including SCAPP MAPS (Mentoring for Access Practitioners Scheme)
  • Access to a Professional Standards Framework and Accreditation Scheme (at no additional cost for paid members for 2023 – 2024)

 

Nonpaid Membership

If an organisation is unable to be a paid member, individuals may retain a nonpaid SCAPP membership.

Nonpaid membership gives access to:

  • A monthly email bulletin of sector-wide news, events, jobs, publications and opportunities
  • Networking and best practice events, such as the New Practitioner Network and monthly Connect with Coffee meetings
  • Support and information networks for professionals in widening access and participation work including Articulation, Learning and Development, Evaluation and Refugees and People seeking Asylum
  • Access to SCAPP events and conferences (subject to fees)
  • Access to SCAPP professional development opportunities (subject to fees)
